The students also get the exposure to model their own ROBOTS, making movies, designing websites in special session conducted by TVIS. I have been working as the head of the Dept. of English in TVIS from June 2008. As a teacher I have found the environment in the school conducive to the professional growth of teachers. Apart from teaching, I have taken keen interest to guide the students for morning assembly, public speaking, notice-board display and creative writing both within the school and outside I have contributed to the school newsletter compiling information and editing . I have played an important accreditations which the school received like the Education Quality foundation India award for the best school award in the private category, preparation of the dossier for the international school award instituted by the British council. As a part of global school Exchange programme, I have visited Biddulph High school and sports college , Staffordshire Uk. I have officially compered school programmes and have also trained students for compering formal occasions, interviewing famous personalities etc. The school has given me a lot of exposure through motivational workshops and training programmes like Edexcel.

Teaching a language is like being in a vast and deep ocean with so many skills to impart like pronunciation spellings, grammatical structure, speaking, listening and writing. It is an endless journey and I am convinced that I am at the right place to do it passionately.

The most inspiring fact for me to be in the school for these years is discipline, security and quality academics. More focus is given to the development of the children in the specialized areas sports, arts & craft or music or dance. The faculty interact with the students with personal care and attention. I joined the Velammal family by Sept. 2009. Getting into TVIS as a PGT Computer Science, I was initially surprised and amazed by the level of support and care given to the students by the teachers and the management. Being a residential school where the students spend most of their time within the campus each student is given utmost care, comfort and warmth.

I too joined the other teachers in going complete support to the students starting from academic classes, preparing for exams and competitive events, inter-school competitions etc. Working in Velammal gives me complete satisfaction as I am given an opportunity to put in my best ideas and efforts into practice for the overall development of the student community.
