Affiliation

The Velammal International School is affiliated to the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) NewDelhi upto the secondary school level, that is Grade XII.

We provide education with an objective to empowering students to sit for the CBSE Board and train our students accordingly using the NCERT syllabi in the following subjects:

    Communicative English - with a focus on developing communication skills.
    The students have a choice of one Indian language i.e. Hindi or an international language i.e.French.
    Mathematics
    Science
    Social Science
    Information technology [Additional subject]
    Activities like Art & Craft, Yoga, Music, Computers, Dance have however been added in the curriculum,
        To aid overall development of character and personality for the students wishing to pursue studies in these disciplines.
    Laboratory Practical is conducted in all the sciences in well equipped laboratories, and art too has a well equipped studio.
    Project work is prescribed in all the subjects.
    Students work in groups and make power point presentations on subject related topics.
    New subjects on the list of the Board, like Life Skills and Environment Education are already a part of our curriculum.

Extra Care

Students are given personalized training to appear for the board examinations with extra tutorials being provided at appropriate times. The study programme is planned carefully with adequate time being set aside towards the end of the course for revision and practice in examination techniques giving the students a cutting edge above the rest.
