PROJECT WORK :
Project work on Problems related to Climate Change and solutions to eradicate them.
Rules:
Any number of projects can be submitted from each school.
Project has to be presented by individual participant only.
The project may be of any type viz. static model, working model, thesis ,survey, case study,
The project should not be earlier submitted in any competition / exhibition.
The project should be made by the student may be with the support of two of his / her school mates.
The synopsis about the project should be sent in two A4 sheets (not exceeding) in printed format.
The project work sent by the students will be short listed and the selected project work participants will be intimated.
The final project report should be submitted to us before 19 th January 2010.
The project work should be presented to the panel and to the invites in the auditorium.
The presentation may be in any form and the time limit is five minutes.
LCD projector, screen and computer will be available.
The student is expected to bring the presentation only in the CD format. ( No Pen Drive .)
The selection of the project work will be based upon the content, mode of the project presentation, cost effectiveness, utility, innovation and answering the questions.
First three places will be selected and be given prizes.
ESSAY WRITING:
On the spot Essay Writing Competition.
Rules:
Two participants can participate from each institution.
The topic will be given on the spot.
After 15 minutes of the announcement of the topic, participants will write the essay (in English).
The word limit is 600 words and the time limit is 20 minutes
First three prizes will be given.
QUIZ :
Quiz Related to Climate Change.
Rules:
Each school can send two teams.
Each team will have two participants.
Preliminary round will be a written test consisting of 50 questions.
Each student has to take up the preliminary test.
The total marks of the two participants will be the deciding factor for the final round
Six teams will be selected for the final rounds.
The final quiz programme will be on the stage with audio, video, general quiz and the rapid fire round.
Best three teams will be given the prizes.
ICON AWARDS
For the ICON award the student has to participate in all the three competitions viz. Essay, Quiz and in project work.
a) Essay competition 25 Marks
b) Quiz Competition (preliminary written test only 25 Marks
c) Project work 50 Marks
3) The selection of the ‘ICON AWARD' is purely by merit by the Panel of judges.
The panel will be consisting of eminent persons from colleges universities and from the centre for Environment Education.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. Participating school has to send the registration form (dully filled up).
2. Participant should be in school uniform and should possess I D card.
3. A staff has to accompany the school for the competitions.
4. The location of the school and the necessary details can be had from www.tvis.in
5. On earlier request, hostel and boarding facilities will be available. A nominal fee will be charged for the same. This facility will be subject to the availability.
